It's hard to believe that it took us this long to get to such a wonderful place as Hawaii. It really is the paradise that everyone claims that it is. The weather was perfect, the scenery was beautiful and there was plenty to keep us occupied. We look forward to a repeat.

Our first trip to Italy together, and Dave's parents came along too. We never had a bad meal and the weather was excellent. We ended up flying into Milan, which we had never thought of. It turned out to be a perfect place to launch a magical Italian trip from.

Since we didn't get all the way across country in 2002, it made sense to fill out the last third of the country. This could also be titled our "Great National Parks" trip, since there were visits to Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and Crater Lake.

Our first significant driving trip driving across 3/4 of the country in a big circle.  We started from home (Bethesda, MD) and drove West on the Southern route and then came back via the North of the country.  This trip involved many traditional roadside venues such as the famous Wall Drug (Wall, SD) and the Corn Palace.

Our first trip to Europe together.  We must have been insane to think that we could go to this many places in such a short period of time.  We alternated nights in hotels and overnights on trains to get to more places. We learned our lesson about taking a slightly slower pace.
